Ruby and diamond brooch, 1950s

Designed as a pair of thistles set with calibré-cut rubies and circular-, single-cut, baguette and a pear-shaped diamond, French assay and partial maker's marks, a few small stones deficient. 

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. French assay marks for platinum and gold, partial maker's mark. Rubies well-matched in colour, a few stones deficient. Diamonds bright and lively, one diamond deficient. Sign of wear to the metal consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 28 grams.
