Gem set and gold necklace

The gold chain suspending bunches of grapes, set with clusters of seed pearls, and ruby, emerald and sapphire beads, and eggs decorated with multi-coloured enamel and brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 430mm. 

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold, mounted in yellow gold. Gemstones well-matched in colour, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, some cavities, chips and abrasions visible under magnification. Enamel in good condition; enamel on the largest egg at the centre has been restored. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 98 grams.
