The silver pendant portraying the profile of two lions' heads, each holding a collet-set cabochon amethyst between their jaws, suspending a drop shaped amethyst, unsigned; the silver brooch also designed as a lion's head, signed René Boivin, numbered, French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

The brooch signed René Boivin, French maker's mark for René Boivin, numbered 0427; French assay mark for silver. Pendant unsigned. Amethysts calculated to weigh a total of approximately 27.50 - 29.00 carats, well matched in colour, with typical crystal inclusions and very few abrasions. Signs of normal wear and tarnish to the metal consistent with age and use. In very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 88 grams.
