The step-cut sapphire weighing 40.04 carats, set between baguette diamond shoulders, size 50.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 78207, stating that the sapphire weighing 40.04 carats, measuring 19.08 x 16.89 x 11.07mm, is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. Stamped 585 for 14 carat gold. Numbered 61840. Sapphire of medium strong saturation, with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching, some scratches, minor chips and abrasions visible under x10 magnification; for further information please refer to the SSEF report. Diamonds estimated to weigh less than approximately 2.00 carats, bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches and indentations consistent with use. In good condition. Total gross weigh approximately 15 grams.
