The rectangular gold case decorated with geometric motifs set with calibré-cut sapphires, circular- and single-cut diamonds, opening to reveal a mirror and six compartments for powder, lipstick, comb and cigarettes, measuring approximately 155 x 130 x 21mm, signed Fasano, numbered, lipstick holder and comb deficient

Condition

Signed Fasano - Torino, numbered 05050 on inside of powder compartment, stamped 750 on exterior of case for 18 carat gold. Sapphires well matched in colour with typical crystal inclusions and abrasions consistent with use. Diamonds bright and lively. Comb and lipstick holder deficient, mirror with a few small chips to edges and age spots. Signs of wear to the metal, scratches/scuffs consistent with age and use. Total gross weight approximately 728 grams. Fitted pouch.

Catalogue Note

Gioielleria Fasano was established in 1928 on piazza Castello, in Turin, by Mario Fasano. With the collaboration of his wife, Stella, he created fine objects for an elite and sophisticated clientele. The firm survived the second World War and in 1955 moved to its present location on via Roma. In 1957, their son Dario joined the firm.
