Of floral and foliate design, claw-set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 14.76 carats, surrounded with half-pearls, rose diamonds and a cushion-shaped diamond.

Provenance

By family tradition, this jewel was formerly in the Collection of Romy Schneider (née Rosemarie Magdalena Albach, 1938-1982), celebrated actress of the 1950s and 1960s.

Condition

The cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 14.76 carats, measuring approximately 16.73 x 12.85 x 6.51mm, blue of medium light saturation, with typical inclusions and a few minor chips visible under magnification. Half-pearls with good skin and lustre, and a few scratches. Rose diamonds of decorative quality. Signs of normal wear to the metal. Gross weight approximately 25 grams.
