Description
- Sapphire, diamonds, platinum
The oval sapphire weighing 18.77 carats, highlighted with shoulders and a frame of circular-cut diamonds, size 50, sizing band, French assay and partial maker's marks.
Condition
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 71804, stating that the sapphire weighing 18.77 carats and weighing 15.28 x 14.00 x 9.32 mm is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
Partial French maker's mark. Stamped with French assay mark and PT950 for platinum, and Or for gold. The sapphire is blue of medium strong saturation, for further information please refer to the SSEF report; with good transparency and typical crystal inclusions, a cavity to the girdle and an inclusion to the table facet visible under 10x magnification. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.75 - 3.25 carats, estimated G-J colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Sizing band. Minor signs of wear to the metal consistent with light use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 14 grams.
