The detachable pendant set with a step-cut emerald weighing 13.75 carats, within a frame of brilliant-cut diamonds, suspended from a necklace set with similarly cut diamonds and gold bead work, back of necklace may be detached and worn as a bracelet, maximum length approximately 620mm, signed M. Gérard, numbered, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 73783, stating that the 13.75 carat emerald, measuring 17.68 x 12.84 x 8.42 mm, is of Colombian origin, with no indications of clarity modification.
Necklace and detachable bracelet signed M. Gerard on clasps, both numbered CS 1397. Necklace, bracelet and pendant stamped with French assay marks and 750 for 18 carat yellow gold. Bracelet length 170 mm. Emerald of medium strong saturation, good transparency, few crystal inclusions visible under close inspection, few nicks and abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 9.00 - 11.00 carats, on average of G-H colour and VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Clasps secure, safety catches below. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 94 grams.
