The step-cut emerald weighing 14.69 carats, framed with brilliant-cut diamonds, size 50, sizing band, signed M. Gérard, numbered, French assay and maker's marks, fitted case stamped M. Gérard.
Condition
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 73784, stating that the emerald, weighing 14.69 carat and measuring 14.32 x 13.72 x 8.97 mm, is of Colombian origin, with no indications of clarity modification, together with an appendix letter.
Signed M. Gerard on inside of shank below emerald, maker's mark on outside of shank, numbered CS 1033. Stamped with French assay mark and OR 750 for 18 carat yellow gold. Emerald of strong saturation, very good transparency, fine crystal inclusions visible under close inspection, minor nicks and abrasions; for further information please refer to the SSEF report. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 3.20 - 3.70 carats, on average of G-H colour and VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, sizing ring. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 11 grams.
