The cushion-shaped ruby stated to weigh 10.89 carats, set within a surround of marquise-shaped diamonds, the shoulders set with brilliant-cut stones, size 51.
Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 61128, stating that the 10.89 carat ruby, measuring approximately 14.65 x 13.00 x 6.50 mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
Stamped with French assay mark and OR 750 for 18 carat gold. The inside of the band inscribed R.10.90 for the indicated weight of the ruby (ruby is stated to weigh 10.89 carats), N 5.67 for the indicated weight of the navette-shaped diamonds, and B 0.14 for the indicated weight of the brilliant-cut diamonds. Ruby of medium strong saturation, transparent to translucent, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, minor nicks and abrasions. Diamonds on average of G-H colour, VS-SI clarity. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 11 grams.
