Description

In the garland style, millegrain-set with cushion-shaped, circular- and single-cut diamonds, accented with variously cut emeralds and two detachable emerald drops, length approximately 335mm, French assay and maker's marks, one diamond deficient.

Condition

French maker's mark HL for H. Lavabre, 64 rue Tiquetonne, 75002 Paris. French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Central step-cut emerald measuring approximately 7.45 x 8.20 x 3.60 mm (depth difficult to measure due to mounting), calculated to weigh approximately 1.50 carats; central oval emerald measuring approximately 9.95 x 8.05 x 5.60 mm, calculated to weigh approximately 2.65 carats; visible portion of two emerald drops measuring approximately 6.95 x 7.10 x 11.30 mm and 6.70 x 6.90 x 11.00 mm respectively. Emeralds well matched in colour and quality with medium strong saturation, medium tone, very good transparency, with some typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching, some nicks and abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 45.00 - 60.00 carats, of mixed colours and clarities, as gauged in the mounting, one diamond deficient by clasp at the back. Clasp secure, safety catch. Normal signs of wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use and wear. In good condition. Total gross weight approximately 125 grams.
