Sapphire and diamond ring

The circular-cut sapphire set between shield-shaped diamonds, the shoulders decorated with circular- and single-cut diamonds, size 52.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 74510, stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating, 'Royal Blue' colour. Sapphire measuring approximately 10.50 x 10.10 x 5.50 mm, as gauged in partially collet-set mounting, estimated to weigh approximately 3.80 carat, of strong saturation, typical crystal inclusions visible under close observation, few scratches and nicks. Shield-shaped diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 1.50 and 1.65 carat, F-G colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting; smaller diamonds of similar colour and clarity. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 7 grams.
