Set with an oval ruby weighing 2.97 carats, framed with circular-cut diamonds, within a later textured mount accented with single-cut stones, French assay mark.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece contains a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore cannot be imported into the US. Please contact the jewellery department for further information or see our Important Notices.
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 72829, stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
Clip fitting stamped with French assay mark for 18 carat white gold. According to the SSEF report the ruby measures approximately 8.80 x 7.30 mm, depth not measurable due to mounting, it is red of medium strong saturation, for further information please refer to the report; transparent to translucent, with typical crystal inclusions, scratches and abrasions consistent with wear and age. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.50 - 3.50 carats, on average of G-I colour and VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 14 grams.
