The oval ruby weighing 6.74 carats, set between demi-lune diamond shoulders, signed Bulgari, Italian assay and maker's marks.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece contains a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore cannot be imported into the US. Please contact the jewellery department for further information or see our Important Notices. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 72337, stating that the ruby weighing 6.74 carats, measuring 12.19 x 10.84 x 6.00 mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Signed Bulgari and inscribed cm 6.75 for the carat weight of the ruby, Italian maker's mark for Rome. Stamped with 750 for 18 carat gold. Ruby of purplish red colour of medium strong saturation, for further information please refer to the report; with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching visible under 10x magnification, minor abrasion to facet junctions visible under magnification and a cavity below the girdle on pavilion facet. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.00 carat, G-I colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with light use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 6 grams.
