Two diamond brooches

Each of floral design, set with oval, circular- and single-cut diamonds, brooch fitting detachable.

By family tradition, these jewels were previously in the collection of Countess Carlotta Balbo Bertone di Sambuy and had formed part of the tiara of Archduchess Adelaide of Habsburg-Lorena, later Queen of Sardinia.

Mounted in silver and gold. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 6.50 - 7.00 carats, on average of H-J colour and VS-SI clarity (few I), as gauged and graded in mounting. One brooch fitting detachable, other one could benefit from the attention from of a professional jeweller as it is not detachable at the time of this report. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 25 grams.
