In our experts' opinion, the ruby is maybe of Burmese origin and has been heat treated. The unmounted ruby weighing 3.49 carats, measuring approximately 11.42 x 8.65 x 3.89 mm, slightly purplish red of medium strong saturation, with good transparency, and typical crystal inclusions visible under magnification, a surface reaching cavity visible under close inspection to a pavilion facet. In very good condition.
