The ring set at the centre with an oval pink tourmaline, framed with circular- and calibré-cut rubies and step-cut amethysts, size 521/2; a gold compact opening to reveal a mirror, the thumbpiece set with calibré-cut rubies, maker's marks for Gübelin; and a fluted gold cigarette case with a cabochon ruby thumbpiece.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Ring: Stamped 750 for 18 carat white gold. Engraved 44.56 (referring to the pink tourmaline), 3.36 (referring to the total weight of the rubies) and 4.23 (referring to the total weight of the amethysts). Tourmaline with typical crystal inclusions, minor scratches and nicks. Little signs of wear to the metal. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 33 grams.
Compact: Maker's mark for Gübelin. Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Normal signs of wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 180 grams.
Cigarette case: Indistinct maker's mark. Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Normal signs of wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 188 grams.
