Claw-set with a step-cut sapphire between baguette diamond shoulders, size 57, French assay and partial maker's marks for Groëné & Darde.

Condition

Maker's mark on outside of shank. Stamped with French assay mark and Pt900 for platinum, also French mark for 18 carat gold. Sapphire estimated to measure approximately 14.05 x 10.85 x 6.80 mm, stated to weight 10.48 carats (in archives), of light to medium saturation with few crystal inclusions, some scratches and abrasions. Diamonds bright and lively, stated to weigh a total of 0.83 carats, on average G-I colour, VS-SI clarity, as graded in mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, evidence of resizing. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 9 grams.
