Set with a cushion-shaped ruby weighing 2.03 carats, within a decorative open work frame set with single-cut diamonds, size 441/2.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece contains a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore cannot be imported into the US. Please contact the jewellery department for further information or see our Important Notices.
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 72857, stating that the 2.03 carat ruby, measuring 7.95 x 6.58 x 3.98 mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
Accompanied by Laboratoire Français de Gemmologie report no. 299556, stating that the ruby possesses gemmological properties consistent with those of Myanmar (formerly Burma) deposits, with no indications of thermal enhancement.
According to the SSEF report, the ruby is red of medium strong saturation, for further information please refer to the reports; typical crystal inclusions, abrasions to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the mounting consistent with age and wear. In good condition. Total gross weight approximately 4 grams.
