Ruby and diamond ring, circa 1900

Set with a cushion-shaped ruby weighing 2.03 carats, within a decorative open work frame set with single-cut diamonds, size 44^1/2.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 72857, stating that the 2.03 carat ruby, measuring 7.95 x 6.58 x 3.98 mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by Laboratoire Français de Gemmologie report no. 299556, stating that the ruby possesses gemmological properties consistent with those of Myanmar (formerly Burma) deposits, with no indications of thermal enhancement. According to the SSEF report, the ruby is red of medium strong saturation, for further information please refer to the reports; typical crystal inclusions, abrasions to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the mounting consistent with age and wear. In good condition. Total gross weight approximately 4 grams.
