Of floral and foliate inspiration, set at the centre with a cushion-shaped diamond encircled with flowing lines of variously shaped stones, inscribed Monture Gübelin, maker's marks, separates into three brooches, additional brooch fitting.

Condition

Signed MONTURE DE GÜBELIN on floral diamond motif and to principle fitting; these and all other fittings with maker's marks for Gübelin; three diamond motifs stamped Palladium, two brooch fittings stamped OR 750 for 18 carat gold. Central cushion-shaped diamond measuring approximately 9.15 x 7.91 x 6.9(?)mm (depth mostly concealed), calculated to weigh approximately 3.80 carats; largest circular-cut diamond measuring approximately 9.17 x 9.20 x 5.32mm, calculated to weigh approximately 2.65 carats, as gauged in the mounting. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 36.00 - 40.00 carats, of various colours and clarities, on average H-K colour (some L-M), VS-SI clarity (some I), as gauged and graded in the mounting. Separates into three separate brooches, each with its own brooch fitting; simple to dis- and reassemble. Signs of wear to the metal consistent with age and use. Total gross weight approximately 63 grams.
