Centering an emerald-cut emerald weighing approximately 7.25 carats, framed by two rows of old mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.50 carats; circa 1890.

Condition

In good to fair condition. Emerald displays a medium to medium-deep slightly bluish green hue, and is slightly included with some inclusions reaching surface. Diamonds are approximately L-M color, and approximately SI-I clarity consistent with diamonds used during this period. Some minor chipping to the girdle on many diamonds. One noticeable repair to the gallery located at approximately 4 o'clock on the back, not visible from the front of the brooch. Dimensions approximately 1 x 1 1/4 inches.
