The garland-style pendant gathered at the sides with bows, centering a round emerald weighing approximately 5.65 carats, accented by pear-shaped, old mine, old European and rose-cut diamonds weighing approximately 12.70 carats, suspended from a necklace of later addition, set with round diamonds weighing approximately 2.00 carats, length 12¾ inches; the pendant circa 1910.

Condition

In good condition, with some light wear to the mounting commensurate with age. The emerald is a medium slightly bluish green and moderately included, with some examples of surface-reaching inclusions and fractures throughout. The diamonds range from approximately G-K color, predominantly VS-SI clarity, with a few I clarity stones. Nicely delicate, with fine millegrain work throughout. Length of chain approximately 12 3/4 inches, length of pendant including the garland-style bows approximately 3 1/4 inches. Fitted with a safety closure. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 61770 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: insignificant to minor, type: traditional.
