Description
- platinum, jadeite, enamel, diamond
The jadeite plaque carved with foliate motifs, measuring approximately 51.9 by 47.6 by 5.5 mm, accented by old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.10 carats, highlighted at the sides with black enamel, with French assay marks; circa 1925.
Condition
In good condition. The jade is nicely carved, with a very smooth feel. The color ranges from medium slightly grayish green to light milky green color, with good translucency. Diamonds are approximately I-J color and VS-SI clarity. Some damage and a small amount of loss to the cylinder terminals. The brooch is photographed upside down in the printed catalogue; the darker color should be positioned at the top.
