Of graduated design, composed of 123 natural pearls graduating from approximately 6.3 to 2.3 mm, the clasp and shortener set with old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .65 carat, length 23 inches, the clasp signed Cartier Paris Londres New York, with French assay and maker's mark, the shortener signed Cartier, Paris numbered 0486; circa 1920.

Condition

In good condition. The pearls are spherical to off-round, of a creamy rose hue with overtones of peach and pink, very good luster and minor blemishing, mainly in the form of slight wrinkling to the skin on several of the pearls. Diamonds are approximately H-I color and VS- SI clarity. Accompanied by GIA report no. 152499 dated June 5, 1978 stating that the pearls are natural. Also accompanied by GIA report no. 5161644096 stating that 120 of the pearls are natural, saltwater, and 3 of the pearls are freshwater. Freshwater pearl origin not determinable.
