Description
- platinum, diamond, gold
The floral bouquet with the flowerheads set en tremblant, set with pear-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 9.50 carats, accented by round diamonds weighing approximately 5.65 carats, further set with baguette diamonds weighing approximately 3.20 carats, gross weight approximately 24 dwts, with French assay and workshop marks; circa 1950.
Condition
In good condition overall. Three of the flower heads are en tremblant and three spin rather freely. The springs in the en tremblant mechanisms may be broken, or they may have been manufactured that way intentionally. Either way, the brooch exhibits a great deal of movement when worn. Diamonds are approximately F-H color and VVS-VS clarity. With maker's mark M H, bisected by a six-rayed star and French assay marks on the pin stem. Some discoloration to the clutch.
