The first designed as a bird, applied with enamel, accented by round and cabochon rubies, further set with single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .25 carat, gross weight approximately 14 dwts, signed Patek Phillipe Geneve, with maker's mark; the second brooch of floral design, composed of carved amethyst petals, accented by single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .75 carat, gross weight approximately 21 dwts, signed Riviera; partially illustrated.
Condition
In fair to good condition. 1ST BROOCH: The rubies are medium slightly purplish red and lightly included. The diamonds are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity. The tail with noticeable enamel loss. 2ND BROOCH: The brooch in the form of an orchid, the petals formed of carved amethyst. The 3-dimensional, lifelike amethyst petals range from light purple to medium purple and from lightly included to moderately included. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS clarity. Dimensions approximately 3 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches.
