Description
- platinum, emerald, diamond
Centering an emerald-cut emerald weighing 17.81 carats, flanked by two cut-cornered triangular-cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.75 carats, size 7½.
Condition
In good condition with gentle surface wear to the mounting. The emerald is a lively slightly bluish medium green. Moderately included due to several inclusions running through the body of the stone, some of which are reflective and break the surface, but the stone maintains an overall crystalline appearance. One inclusion reaches the girdle, leading to a small cavity measuring approximately 1.5 mm. Minor chipping throughout the girdle. The pavilion's keel line is off-center and the crown's faceting is asymmetrical, but this is not apparent when worn. The diamonds are approximately I-J color, VS clarity. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 58707 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: minor to moderate, type: traditional. Please note that the emerald weighs 17.81 carats, not approximately 15.15 carats as stated in the printed catalogue.
