Suspending three drop-shaped natural pearls measuring approximately 13.4 by 12.8 by 10.4 mm, 11.7 by 10.6 by 8.8 mm and 10.4 by 10.3 by 9.8 mm, surmounted by scrollwork motifs set with three old mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.75 carats, further accented by old European, single and rose-cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.50 carats; with detachable brooch fitting; late 19th century.
Condition
In good condition. The semi-baroque pearls have a silvery gray body color, soft rose and green overtones, with some minor blemishing visible under magnification in the form of pitting and one wrinkled skins. The diamonds are approximately G-I color, predominantly SI clarity with several VS-I clarity examples. Brooch attachment removable. There are two holes near the top of the back of the brooch that may have originally accommodated a chain for wear as a pendant. Accompanied by Insituto Gemólogico y de Alta Relojeria de Mexico report no. 0755 stating that the pearls are natural, with no nucleus present. Accompanied by GIA report no. 2155985388 stating that the pearls are natural, saltwater.
