Description
- silver, gold, cultured pearl
The four-strand necklace composed of 154 semi-baroque cultured pearls measuring approximately 10.5 to 8.5 mm, completed by a scrollwork clasp centering a rectangular cushion-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.65 carats, framed by six old mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately 4.50 carats, further set with numerous old mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately 11.00 carats, the strands measure 13, 14, 15 and 16 inches.
Condition
In good condition. Pearls are off-round and display a creamy white body color with fair to good luster and noticeable blemishing; two pearls have exposed beads at the point of drill hole. The diamond clasp is in good condition with some wear that would be considered consistent with age, please note that the clasp has received modifications to serve its present purpose, and has findings on the reverse that suggest it may have been a brooch or part of a larger piece at one time. Diamonds are approximately J-L color and a few M color examples and approximately SI-I clarity.
