Centering an oval-shaped sapphire weighing 13.36 carats, framed by 28 calibré-cut demantoid garnets, further set with rose-cut diamonds, size 5¼.
Condition
In good condition. The richly saturated sapphire is a deep slightly violetish blue, eye-clean. The demantoid garnets are a medium yellowish green, slightly to moderately included, with several exhibiting abrading to the facet junctions and chipping. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, SI-I clarity. Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 14021004 stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. The report also states that, "This colour variety of sapphire may also be called 'royal blue' in the trade."
