Composed of 103 natural pearls measuring approximately 6.8 to 2.8 mm, the clasp set with one rectangular and two triangle-cut diamonds, together weighing approximately .55 carat, length 19 inches, clasp numbered 46 and 04976; accompanied by an addtional platinum and diamond clasp set with two triangle-cut diamonds weighing approximately .50 carat, signed Marcus; circa 1925. With fitted box signed Marcus & Co.
Condition
In good condition. The pearls vary in shape from round to slightly off-round. They have a creamy white body color with good luster and soft rose and green overtones. One pearl has minor cracking to the nacre and a few pearls exhibit minute blemishes in the form of pits. The knots are slightly frayed and the strand could benefit from a restringing. The diamonds are approximately I-J color, SI clarity. Total weight approximately 20 chau. Accompanied by GIA report no. 5151977447 stating that the pearls are predominantly natural, saltwater. Also accompanied by GIA report no. 11578356, dated June 29, 2001, stating that the pearls are natural.
