The double-strand necklace composed of 41 turquoise beads measuring approximately 12.7 to 12.1 mm, accented by six hammered gold beads and a gold collar, length 17 inches, with French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

In good condition, with some wear to the gold not apparent when worn. The turquoise beads are a medium to medium-deep bluish green with black matrix throughout, adding to the piece's stylistic nature. The beads could benefit from being restrung. With maker's mark of an R and a B bisected by a serpent, the mark for René Boivin.
