Designed as a berry set with 40 oval-shaped demantoid garnets, topped by seven small oval-shaped turquoise cabochons, gross weight approximately 14 dwts, signed Tiffany Schlumberger.

Condition

In good condition. The lively demantoid garnets are a medium to medium deep slightly yellowish green, eye-clean to slightly included with several examples bearing some abrading to the facet junctions visible under magnification. The turquoises are a medium blue, with no visible matrix. Well-made and highly naturalistic. With a number 3 and a scratch number 673 on the top of the pinbridge. Accompanied by GIA report no. 1132135110 stating that one randomly tested stone is of the andradite garnet species and the demantoid variety. Please note that this brooch, designed as a berry, is illustrated on page 34 of the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book from 1968-1969, not page 84 as stated in the printed catalogue.
