The fanciful perched bird set with round rubies weighing approximately 2.90 carats, accented by 36 round emeralds, further set with single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 carat, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, Made in France, numbered 4672231, with French import marks. With signed box.

Condition

In good condition, with some very minor discoloration to the gold on the reverse. The diamonds are approximately G-H color, VS-SI clarity with some I clarity examples. The emeralds are a medium-deep slightly bluish green, moderately to heavily included with several bearing surface-reaching inclusions or chips. The rubies are a medium purplish red, slightly to moderately included with several bearing surface-reaching inclusions or abrading to the facet junctions. Well made and whimsical.
