Description
- platinum, rock crystal, diamond
The interlocking frames of floral design, one frame composed of carved rock crystal, further set with numerous single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 4.25 carats, with French assay marks; circa 1925.
Condition
In good condition. The rock crystal is frosted and is in good condition, the reverse of the carved rock crystal segments exhibits some minor chipping, but this is not apparent when the brooch is face-up and the chips do not threaten the stability of the piece. The diamonds are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity. The gallery underneath the brooch is slightly warped at one corner, but the mount is in good condition overall. The pin-catch has a screw to better secure the pin in place.
