Description
- platinum, sapphire, diamond, emerald, onyx
Designed as a panther with articulated paws and a head that swivels, set with an emerald-cut sapphire weighing approximately 4.25 carats, accented by numerous round diamonds weighing approximately 6.40 carats, with variously-shaped sapphire spots, completed by marquise-shaped emerald eyes and a triangle-shaped cabochon onyx nose, size 6½, signed Cartier, partially numbered 26714, with French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
In good condition with some gentle scratching to the shank, commensurate with wear. The emerald-cut sapphire is a lively medium-deep slightly violetish blue, eye-clean to lightly included. The remainder of the sapphires are medium to medium-deep slightly violetish blue and lightly included. The diamonds are approximately F-H color, predominantly VS clarity. The emeralds are a medium slightly bluish green and lightly to moderately included. The onyx is intact, and the first number in the sequence for the numbering is obscured. Signed and numbered on the inner shank. The ring bears a nice heft. This ring cannot easily be sized. Please note that although the ring is singed Cartier, we are unable to confirm the authorship of this piece.
