The hand-hammered quatrefoil links leading to six jade plaques carved and pierced with lotus motifs, anchored by a jade plaque carved on the front with floral motifs, the reverse inscribed with Chinese characters for longevity and prosperity, topped by an oval-shaped cabochon sapphire measuring approximately 11.6 by 10.3 mm, further accented by 31 smaller cabochon sapphires measuring approximately 4.8 to 4.5 mm, gross weight approximately 273 dwts, length 30½ inches, signed Webb; the backchain detaches for wear as a necklace or bracelet, comprised of sections measuring 5¾, 5¾, 3 and 1¾ inches. With two signed envelopes.

In good condition with some light discoloration to the gold. The center jade plaque is nicely carved, a very light greenish gray, semi-translucent to opaque. The remainder of the jade plaques are light to medium green, semi-translucent to translucent, and with moderate to evident color mottling. The cabochon sapphires are a medium-deep violetish blue, lightly to moderately included and semi-transparent to translucent. Bears a nice weight.
