Centering a cushion-cut sapphire weighing 8.35 carats, the mounting accented by old mine and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.50 carats, size 7, numbered 12924; circa 1915.

Condition

In good condition, with some light wear and nicking to the slightly thinned shank. The richly saturated sapphire is a medium-deep blue, slightly included with some silk throughout and a small fingerprint, visible off of the table and under direct light and magnification. With a soft appearance and a minor window under the table, as well as some minute abrasions to the facet junctions. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 59498 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
