Composed of 15 baroque cultured pearls measuring approximately 20.8 by 18.1 by 14.4 mm to 18.3 by 15.9 by 13.5 mm, spaced by 14 sapphire beads weighing approximately 139.00 carats, accented by rose-cut diamonds weighing approximately 10.00 carats, the clasp further decorated with round sapphires, length 50 inches, with maker's mark.
Condition
In good condition. The baroque cultured pearls have a silvery gray body color. Some of the pearls exhibit strong rose and green overtones. Fair to good luster, with typically wrinkled skins and some examples of peeling and pitting. The sapphire beads are medium to medium-light violetish blue. Moderately to heavily included with several bearing surface-reaching fractures, semi-transparent to translucent. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Sapphires in the clasp are decorative in quality, and the plunger clasp is designed to mimic the shape of the pearls. Maker's mark for Piranesi on metal tag next to clasp.
