Catalogue Note

The Jean Schlumberger gold and enamel bracelets first appeared in 1962, and were popularized by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis who received her first bracelet, a white-and-gold enamel bracelet as a gift from her close friend Rachel "Bunny" Mellon. Jackie loved the bracelet so much that she ordered another in cobalt blue. This Schlumberger design soon became known as the "Jackie" bracelet.
