Icy Jadeite ‘Buddha’, Jadeite and Diamond Pendant

The highly translucent icy jadeite carved as a Laughing Buddha, surmounted by a round jadeite cabochon of emerald green colour, highlighted by the word "笑" (laugh) set with circular-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat pink gold.

Colour and Clarity: According to Jadeite Jade Testing Certificates, the icy jadeite "Buddha" is natural, Type A Jadeite Jade. Please refer to the certificates for details. In our opinion, the icy jadeite "Buddha" is highly translucent, of light celadon tone. Upon transmitted illumination, there are a few white clouds, not noticeable in normal lighting. The small jadeite cabochon in the surmount is translucent, of intense emerald green colour. Diamonds together weighing approximately 0.50 carat, are about J to K colours, VS clarity. Condition: Karat pink gold mount, in very good condition. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment.
