Description

The circular white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and millegrain-set diamond hands, within a grey and white enamel bezel, the feet accented with cabochon moonstones, on a rectangular silver base decorated with opalescent pink guilloché enamel and a sloping front calendar enhanced with grey enamel and rose diamond rosette motifs, measuring approximately 103 x 66.5 x 59mm, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

Accompanied by Cartier certificate of authenticity no. GE2004-91. Please note we do not guarantee clock movements. Mechanical movement in running condition at time of cataloguing. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its time keeping and therefore a service should be carried out in the near future at the buyer's expense. Dial signed Cartier Paris Londres. Base numbered 2338, 2393 and HSA 1929. Movement numbered 61178. French maker's marks to base, beneath sloping front calendar; French assay marks for platinum and gold. Opalescent pink enamel in good condition with a few areas of loss around the clock bezel. Dial with small crack at the edge, by the 9h mark. Diamonds lively. Moonstones in very good condition. Signs of normal wear to the mounting commensurate with age, a few small areas of tarnish to settings of moonstones. Six poster cards with calendars of the twelve months (front and back - year 1929), in good condition - very slightly warped and a few with discolouration, cover with one minor nick/chip to exterior surface. In good condition. Total gross weight approximately 336 grams.
