Sapphire and diamond ring

The oval sapphire set within a frame of circular-cut diamonds, to a mount of scroll and foliate design, size 58^1/2.

Accompanied by GRS report no. GRS2014-051020, stating that the sapphire, weighing approximately 3.80 carats and measuring 9.88 x 8.13 x 5.19 mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Sapphire of medium saturation, good clarity, few typical inclusions, few nicks, scratches and abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.80 - 2.40 carats, on average G-H colour and VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Normal signs of wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, evidence of resizing. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 14 grams.
