One vanity case set with calibré-cut and polished sapphires, measuring approximately 70 x 45 x 10mm, signed Marchak, numbered, French assay and maker's marks; the other vanity case applied with star motifs, the thumbpiece set with circular-, single-cut and baguette diamonds, measuring approximately 60 x 50 x 10mm, signed Cartier, French assay and maker's marks; and a case applied with polychrome enamel, the central plaque and thumbpiece set with rose diamonds, measuring approximately 72 x 50 x 11mm, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Case by Marchak: Signed A. Marchak, maker's mark, numbered 62804 and 2281. Stamped with French assay mark and 750 for 18 carat gold, mounted in yellow gold. Sapphires very well matched in colour, few nicks and abrasions. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 81 grams.
Case by Cartier: Signed Cartier Paris Londres New York, partial maker's mark. Stamped with French assay mark for 18 carat gold. Enamel with scratches, few areas of loss and areas of restoration. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 81 grams.
Compact by Cartier: Signed Cartier Paris, maker's marks, indistinctly numbered. Stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, very minor tarnish under some stars. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 76 grams.
