Sapphire ring

Set with a sugarloaf cabochon sapphire, size 51^1/2, sizing band.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 75778, stating that the sapphire weighing approximately 5.5 carats and measuring 10.65 x 7.00 x 6.75 mm, is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. Please note that Sotheby's is not responsible for the accuracy of any estimated weights provided by gemmological certificates. Stamped Pt 900 to the inside of band for platinum and OR to the sizing band for gold. Sapphire of strong saturation, with typical crystal inclusions, and a few abrasions. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, minor evidence of resizing. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 20 grams.
