Sapphire and diamond necklace

The collet-set oval sapphire, between barrel designed shoulders set with calibré-cut sapphires and diamonds, the gold link chain further accented with similarly cut diamonds, length approximately 400mm.

Stamped with Swiss assay mark and 750 for 18 carat gold. Central sapphire estimated to measure approximately 17.65 x 13.45 x 13.35 mm and estimated to weigh approximately 24.50 carats, as gauged in the mounting, of medium saturation, few inclusions visible with the aid of a 10x loupe, small nicks and abrasions especially on pavilion facets. Smaller sapphires of similar colour. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 3.50 - 4.00 carats, on average G-H colour and VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Clasp secure, safety catch to the side. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 204 grams.
