Catalogue Note

Harry Diamond is known as the subject of Lucian Freud's painting Interior at Paddington 1951. In the 1960's Diamond took up photography and as a familiar Soho figure he found acceptance as a recorder of the art and Jazz scene of the 1960's and 1970's when intimate portraits such as the four offered here were created.
