Condition

The canvas has been lined. The canvas undulates slightly to the centre of the left hand edge. There are areas of scattered craquelure to the upper half of the composition, most noticeably to the sky, with very small scattered areas of loss visible upon close inspection. There is minor surface dirt and traces of light studio detritus. There are frame abrasions to the extreme edges. There are scattered traces of a light surface matter to the lower right quadrant, but this excepting the work appears in good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. Housed in a thick painted wooden frame.
