Condition

The board is slightly bowed. There are old nail holes visible to the edges, one of which has caused a slight abrasion to the left edge in the lower left hand corner. There is surface dirt visible to the work, with further flecks of dirt and studio detritus. There are two tiny flecks of paint loss to the sitter's left thigh and a tiny minor abrasion to the background above the sitter's left shoulder. This excepting the work appears in a good, stable condition. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. Housed in a thin, lightly-varnished wooden frame.
