In-8 (213 x 132 mm). Maroquin rouge à long grain, roulette en encadrement, armoiries peintes, dos lisse aux emblèmes impériaux (aigles, griffons affrontés), doublure et gardes de soie verte, tranches dorées (Reliure de l'époque).
Bel exemplaire, sur grand papier, aux armes de Duroc, duc de Frioul (1772-1813). Grand maréchal du Palais en 1804, il avait en charge la sûreté de l'Empereur. Il accompagna Napoléon dans toutes ses campagnes et notamment aux batailles d'Austerlitz, Wagram et Essling, à la suite desquelles il est fait duc de Frioul (mai 1808). Nommé sénateur en avril 1813, il n'eut pas le temps de siéger : il tomba au champ d'honneur à la bataille de Bautzen, en Saxe, le 22 mai 1813, année de publication de cet almanach.
Duroc fut surnommé "l'ombre de Napoléon".
Les bâtons de grand maréchal, non compris dans son fer d'armes, ont ici été peints.
